The first step to grinding sorghum is not a glorious one. You simply beat it with a large stick.
It's pineapple and jackfruit season! On a good day there are three piles of pineapples, costing anywhere from $.50-1.00.
Even the cows get in on the borehole action.
One of the cooler innovations featured here. The women use calabash to create shade for their babies when they are tied to their backs. Before I knew what they were for I was extremely puzzled by their presence and thought everything from eating apparatus (which I've seen in Jamaica with Calabash) and instruments (I know, a stretch.)
